Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
After reading pros and cons of adding chicks to the flock I decided to give it a go. Had 2 black Ausrolorps hens and added 3 silver lace chicks. All is well , no bullying so far. The big girls are extremely docile . Am I out of the woods or will they become more territorial as chicks grow? 6 weeks so far
