Addictive!!!!!

Anyone ever wonder what it is about chickens that is so addictive from incubating or buying baby chicks all the way up to naming the adults silly names. Post opinions below I was just curious

It's definatly addictive...

Chickens are like 'tater chips! ..

I think it's cause they're so silly, and bring so much joy.

I'm not sure if it's they're behavior (watching them scratch around, look for food, freak out about nothing at all...) or the noises they make from the first peep to a loud "BahCauck!"...but I can lose HOURS watching my chickens...
As my boyfriend once described to a friend on the phone: "I don't know...she likes staring at them and making them happy..."

Regardless...they bring me joy...much like 'tater chips...

They definatly each have their own unique personalities and always seem to charm the right people and peck the others lol

There are several threads catering to those of us who admit we are addicted (and have no power over our addiction to chickens, incubations, etc.) so this is such a familiar topic to discuss.

I know I love watching the chicks, the chickens, the ducklings and ducks, talking to them, sitting with one on my lap, or a chick on my shoulder and poop is easy to wash off... Or just change clothes!

I love listening to them. They make me happy.
