Adding 2 new chicks - Need advice quick!

The 2 new ones look fine this morning, although they are not "hanging out" with the others, they are always within sight. I brought a little snack out and they all came running - the new ones last, but they did come! I also find it funny that this morning, one of my original OEGB/Silkie chicks decided that today was HIS day to crow! It was the funniest thing I've seen. Up until this point only one pullet was his size - the other 6 are much bigger (Cochin, White Leghorn, & Tetra Tint) - but now he's got a couple more girls his size, so he made the big decision to give it a try!! I almost laughed out loud, except it would have scared the new chicks away!! I will try hard to get it on video!!

As for the other folks' questions, I'm sorry but I am brand new to this and don't have any suggestions...good luck!
YAY! I laughed reading this!

By the end of the first day together, the new chicks were sticking pretty close to our flock - following them wherever they went. As dusk approached, they started heading towards the coop and the 2 new chicks flew up into a tree to roost. As ours started disappearing in the coop, it was like they looked around and realized they were all alone. One flew down - straight into the coop and the other flew to the roof where she made some very sad cries for her friends. Once she realized everyone was inside, she hopped down and strolled up the ramp just like she knew what she was doing!

When I went to let them out this morning, I heard my little cockeral crowing as best he could a couple of times - and it's definitely getting better...he did peck at the new girls a few times as they came out of the coop, but nothing more than putting them in their place, I think! So far today, they've been a pretty tight pack - or flock - I should say.

It is definitely working out better than I had thought it might!! :) Thanks everyone for all your suggestions and comments!
