I have 4 older chicks that are now 4.5 weeks old, and i have 2 younger chicks, who are 2.5 weeks old now. Is there anything i should do to make the chicks nice when i add the chicks together? Is there any recommended time to do it? any info on this topic would help! thanks!

Hmmmm, 2.5 weeks is pretty small, what breeds are they? I'm assuming they are about half the size of the other ones? I'd just put them next to each other cages if you can so they can see each other & once you do put them together I'd make sure they have plenty of things to hop on, or go into to hide, or toys or something like a pecking block to keep em busy and from getting bored

i was planning to wait until the younger chicks were 4.5 weeks, is that right? I have a buff orpington and a delaware (the younger 2)
and a barred rock, blue wheaten ameraucana, lavender araucana, and another delaware (the older 4, they are living the coop, they are 4.5 weeks old)

I'm interested in this too. I'm trying to introduce my 2 week old chicks to my 6 week old chicks. I think I'm going to wait until their 4 weeks though. I've been showing them my ducklings (2weeks old) by placing the pool close to the run and letting them forage around close to the coop. I tried letting them forage together under a very watchful eye and the hens charged the ducklings but the ducks are really good about standing back up to them. lol
