Adding 3 pullets to an existing flock

Hi,
I am raising up 3 pullets in a separate pen from my original flock of 5 hens and one roo. If I want to give the roo 3 more pullets when they are mature, will he keep the older girls from bullying the young new ones after I let them get used to seeing each other across a barrier?
