What did you do in the garden today?

The white tails came out of two poblano pepper seeds in my recent petri dish viability test. However, after placing them in a seed cube under my grow light, it doesn't seem to want to sprout leaves.

Good things come to those who wait.

I finally got the indoor pepper and tomato seeds planted. If I can find a couple of small pots that will fit in the spaces between the other pots, I'll do two more tomatoes.

Finally got a GOOD downpour this morning. Supposed to get another 2 - 4 inches early in the week.

Hopefully that kicks off some good growth. I did heavily prune my peach tree so I'm a little worried about canker. Tomorrow I'll probably smash up an aspirin and make a paste to put on the cut wounds as a precaution.

Thinned the seedlings, and filled small pots with soil anticipating potting those babies up soon. Still waiting on those jalapenos to break the soil. Darn pokey things. Lots of rain here today, so still haven't got the copper tape on the new pots I filled. Maybe tomorrow.

That's the way it goes. You need an appliance and it goes out. When you have a working appliance you don't need another one.

Spring forward. Ugh. Sunshine today. Good day to get outside. I need to start the smokeless fire pit to burn twigs. I saw where a guy mounted his on an old push mower deck. Take the fire to the sticks. Going to study on this. Old and walking longer and longer distances with sticks is a chore.

I do wish the entire US were like Arizona in this matter and stop pretending for more than half of the year noon isn't noon. With the vast, vast majority of houses and businesses having electricity, there's no reason for "helping the farmers out". Knowing FedGov though we'd be stuck on ridiculous instead of real.
