adding a 4 week chick to my 4day old chick brood

When would be a good time to add my other chicks2 (4 weeks older then my new ones) to my new group of chicks 5 (4 days old) ? I would like to get the group together so it would make taking care of them easier and they will be hanging out together later anyway.

Try them together for short periods of time and see how they do together. If they seem to be fine with just a little pecking going on, then it should be fine.

It could get pretty messy if not surpervised closely. 4 day olds don't know too much and 4 weekers are just getting to the bulling stage. I personally would give the young ones more time before putting them in with older chicks.

ok, so how long should I give the youngest ones before I mix the older ones in with younger ones?

I had 3 5 week old chicks and I put my new 1 or 2 week old chicks in with them and they did fine.

ok, thanks for the helpful advice. I guess I will give these little ones a couple of more days before I put their soon to be friends in with them.
