Adding a pullet to my flock and have I a feed question.

Hi everyone, next weekend, I'm going to add a Buff pullet into my flock (she's been in their pen, in a separate cage for 3 weeks now.) I have 3 existing hens who are all laying and eat layer feed. Now, I know you shouldn't give a pullet layer feed, so, my question is, can I switch my flock back to a grower feed until my new girl starts to lay? Or, should I keep my new girl separate, feeding her grower feed, until she starts to lay? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

How old is she? If she is close to point of lay, I would just start her on the layer feed or perhaps a half and half mixture of grower/layer.

She'll be 16 weeks next wednesday. I'll try to mix the flock mix back to half and half....hopefully that will work. Thanks for the help.S
