Adding a Rooster

I second Ridgerunner's and Mrs. K's advice. Very sound.

If you're sure that the rooster is squeaky clean, just put him in the pasture with the hens. Adding a roo is different than adding new hens--they usually do just fine. They will chase some hens around and peck them if the hens dont' accept his dominance, but it won't last long.

some people here, will get rescue birds, birds past their prime that were going to be culled in a commercial operation, or some other operation.
