The first one looks like a male, second one is a pullet.

If you want to make 110% sure your only chicken is a Male, wait until he crows! Then, you will know. But, in the meantime, make your plan and then work your plan.
100% sure your RIR is a male/cockerel as of today

Photos of saddle feathers (at base of tail) at this age (over 3 months) is more accurate.
