Adding a single chick?

I am a new chicken owner. I have 6 BO that are a little over 3 weeks old and 3 RIR that less that are less than a week younger. When I got the RIR chicks it was only 4 days after the BO so I left the little carrier box in the brooder for a little while and then put the chicks together. It only took an hour before the RIR got oriented and started moving around with the others. They were and still are smaller than the BO but they all manage quite well.

In 2 days I am picking up a lone Golden Comet pullet that needs a new home. It is at most a week older than the ones I already have. I haven't seen it yet to compare size.

I'm worried that because this is just a single chick it will get bullied. They are still all pretty young, so I am hoping all will adjust and she will become part of the flock. I would feel much more comfortable adding two instead of one. Any suggestions on integrating them? I am using a large cardboard box as a brooder and can't really divide it with wire. I could possibly cut a hole and add an "apartment box" with screen between if necessary.

Thanks in advance to anyone with advice.

Shouldn't be a problem, but I would consider keeping the pullet separate for a few days/a week, just to make sure it's healthy. Also, if there IS a problem, just keep an eye on them. If you notice anything funky (screaming, blood, etc! ;-) ) separate them and introduce them more slowly -- a couple of hours at a time.
