Adding a tree in my run?

Was wondering if people add a tree on a angle for there chickens in the run? I will also have ducks in he same run

At a minimum, my run was covered in chicken wire to deter hawks. I think some kind of netting, mesh, or wire is necessary for that, so the run can be used for times when a hawk visits. Therefore, and plantings in the run need to be short enough to fit under, so small trees or shrubs. Mary

My run is all fenced in with hard wear. Cloth has it on the top too. What I meant was to cut one down and lean it up on angle so they can hop up on it

I have seen people use their old/dead Christmas trees for things like this. More for shade/hiding places, but could work for a "hop up" area if you thinned out some of the limbs. Maybe get a few from the neighbors after Christmas?
