Adding an egg

hey friends!
I got a fertile egg and was wondering if I can add it under my hens who’s current eggs are about to hatch this weekend? Will they continue to set for another 21 days for the new egg? Thanks!!

Most hens leave the nest within 36 hours of the hatch of the first chick. Taking the chicks away MIGHT encourage her to keep setting, but another 21 days would be very debilitating to her.
