Adding baby chicks with baby chicks?

Ok, I am thinking about getting some Silkies and EE. I have 12 chicks in the brooder, they are not even a week old yet. Can I add them or should I wait?

I raised my silkies apart from large breeds. For the EE if the are the same age or size.

I currently have 24 chicks in the brooder, from 1-2 weeks old I have eggs set to hatch on or around this coming Wednesday, I'll keep them in the house brooder for a few days to make sure all is well and then they will go out to the box brooder with the others, give them a few weeks there then they can all go to the grow out pen together..
