I have a speckled Sussex and a barred rock, both very sweet, and a very sweet turkey. I just picked up 3 (grown) banties (quail colored d’anvers- SO cute!)
Has anyone successfully integrated bantams into a larger flock? Should I keep them separated? (The banties are in a wire coop-not the one in the photo- alongside the normal coop, so everyone can see each other)

They can be together , my main concern would be a big rooster , but I don’t know if you have one ...
I have one (no idea how old or what kind) it was given to me, but he hasn’t integrated well with the ladies (it’s been about 2 weeks and they will have NOTHING nice to do with him)

If you continue to add a few here and there you will not have a settled flock . The stress on them from adding new birds will affect their egg laying and they won’t be happy .....

Get rid of the rooster , then add your new hens ... slowly

That was my thought too. I didn’t want the roo, like I said, he was given. Today was local poultry show & that is where the bantams came from :D we are done for a while (with the exception of culling that roo)
