adding charcoal to coop and run deep litter questions

I'm completely clearing out the coop today, and removing the perch etc, to clean it. I may have a case of mites, or lice. What would you suggest I use to clean it and mix in with the wood shavings?

If the clay gets wet it doesn't work as far as I know. I use white vinegar and salt or baking soda to clean. Once the flooring is dry I sprinkle it with the clay then add the wood chip. I'm no expert on the matter but it's work for me so far.

Be careful as breathing in the clay can cause problems. I add hay ontop and don't let the chicken's near until everything has settled @Dancingwnature
