I have a broody chicken that I placed 8 guinea eggs under last weekend. I was thinking about candling on day 7 and removing the infertile eggs. If I remove them, would it be at all feasible to replace them with chicken eggs, since 21 days should remain before the guinea eggs hatch?

Has anybody else tried this? What were the results?

I have more eggs to hatch than broody hens...

Sounds like a plan to me.

I haven't tried it with my brood hens but I do that in the incubator a lot.
