I just got my first baby chicks this year. I've got six of them and they are 8 weeks old. (3 Ameracainas, 2 gold sexlinks, and 1 white leghorn). A friend of mine is giving me 3 silkies that are 2 years old. How do I mingle these new members of our family without causing problems and can the babies eat the laymen a good now? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would keep them separate, where they can still see and talk with each other, for a week. Then let them mingle during the day. then if there aren't any problems just let the barriers down. If the adults were a larger bird I would hold them apart till they were closer in size.
