Adding chickens to a flock - yea or nay?

Ok, so the 5 little whatever-we-haves are close to feathering out (I to get on that coop!).
Of course, we caught chicken fever, so now we'd like to get some specific breeds.
However that would mean adding more chickens to an established flock.

Is that really a super bad thing to do?
 
I'm NO EXPERT! but I've read advice in here that you should quarantine all additional chickens to your flock. Maybe the ones you do pick up should be near the same age as your chickens.

There is nothing bad about it- your chickens aren't even outside yet, you've got time. There are a lot of threads on here about introducing new chickens, and different age chickens. You should be fine. Good luck!
