Adding chicks to my ducks!

I also keep ducks with chickens and have no problems doing so, so I think you'll be fine. Once I had a drake that loved chickens, so much so that his best buddy was a rooster, and those two went everywhere together!

Your Drake is only 6 months old. Wait till he is all hormones. He won't be so Docile anymore.

it can be a toss up , i have mixed ducks with chickens and never had any issues , as long as they have enough space it seems to be fine.

I have 12 chickens and 4 khaki Campbells (it was 5 until one female got taken by a predator recently)..they have separate coops but otherwise they share space and all “hang out” together all day. Their run is fenced but they find their way under the fence and free range most of the day. I started with a few chickens, then added the ducks, then more chickens. They are usually pretty peaceful and easygoing. As long as everyone has places to wander around, and they have separate sleeping spaces, they are good..

I raised my chicks and ducks together, and ended up rehoming my drake. When he started to mature he was going after my hens and seriously injured one. They are quite nasty when their hormones are raging. He was much heavier then my chickens and would chase them to no end trying to mate with them. I have two female ducks now with my chickens and they get along just fine. Just my experience, I loved my drake and was sad to see him go, but I would've been heartbroken if he ended up killing one of my hens.
