So at what age can I start giving my babies a treat of like apple or bread, etc.? They get some cornmeal now at around 4 weeks.

I started giving mine treats around 4 weeks. At first they weren't too keen on them so it took a few days for them to figure out it was good stuff! I initially tried yogurt and scrambled egg but they wanted nothing to do with those. I then tried uncooked oatmeal, chick kibble and grit. That got them started. Then I started adding more stuff like broccoli, chopped up lettuce greens, shredded carrot, crunched up meal worms.

I now make up a daily mix of broccoli, meal worms, chick kibble, cracked corn, black oil sunflower seeds, any other veggies I happen to have on hand and chick grit.

They go crazy for it! First thing to go is the broccoli, then the meal worms and then the cracked corn. They only get their treat plate once a day and I can tell they look forward to it because they get really excited to see me in the mornings. At least, that's what I tell myself!!
