Adding hens- how old should they be?

I have two 5 week old Rhode Island Red hens. I had 4, but 2 turned out to be roosters and they recently died. Now that I only have the 2 girls, I wanted to add a couple more to round out the numbers. Should I add younger pullets, or older hens- or does it even matter? Would also appreciate any advice in introducing them. I live in the northern outskirts of Dallas, TX in case climate has any affect on the type of advice. And I currently let the chickens roam the fenced-in back yard during the day and lock them in the coop at night.
I really don't have the energy to go thru the whole first 4 weeks of getting day-old chicks if I can avoid it! I am just now getting my sun room back after these guys moved out to the coop.

I'd suggest you try and get pullets that are almost the same age as your two. Younger ones will need extra attention and older ones will probably beat up your young ones. Chickens are lovely, but they can be mean.
