Adding more eggs

Hello,

I got my incubator ( the little giant one) last weekend. I was trying to decide whether to start with duck eggs or chicken eggs.

I ended up putting the ducks eggs in last week. Now I'm wondering if since ducks take 28 days and chickens take 21 days if I can open it up and put chicken eggs in on Tues (one week after I started the ducks) or if that would mess me up?

Any thoughts?

my husband has a hovabater with a auto turner but he always puts em in at same time chicks and ducks and then after the chicks hatch and are taken out he raises the humidity on the ducks we have never tried adding in a second batch while the first is in there but i know we have have several incubater loads full like our above mentioned method... hope this helps at least a little
