Hi. Through no fault of ours or hers we have a single bantam Cochin hen. I would like to get new chicks in the spring. I didn’t mean to get a bantam as the people we originally got our chicks from didn’t specify they were bantam Cochins. What standard sizes breeds would be a good mix for our docile little girl? I am worried about her being bullied. Thanks

It would probably be best to get at least one more feather footed breed.

An "odd man out" is more likely to get picked on.

If you like the cochin you can get more. They come in a huge number of colors, and both standard and bantam size.

Cochins are often broody.
