Adding new chicks to flock

Is it ok to put 2 week old Silkies in the hen house with 6 week old other chicks? The original 9 chicks have all been together since I got them at 1 week old. I am worried that they wont integrate well & they will be very small.

I think I'd put the younger ones in a smaller cage inside the coop - where the two groups can see each other and get used to each other, but the younger ones are protected from the older ones. Then after a few days - or a week - let them be together but only when you can be right there to supervise.
