Adding new chicks to my old...

We keep 6 to 12 "pet" layers all the time, and am thinking of adding to the flock. My concern is, if we rear a new 6 to pullet size and try to add them into the run with the older "spoiled and possessive" gals, that it will a bloody and traumatizing mess! Any suggestions?

Add like numbers and like sizes, have lots of room and extra feeders and water sources.
