Adding new chicks to the brooder?

Hello BYC! I have six chicks in the brooder, all within about a week of each other. The oldest are 1w6d, the youngest are 6 days old. Am I “locked in,” or can I still add a newly hatched chick? Will the 2-week-olds trample the newcomers? Thanks!
(Pics are of the youngest, for no real reason except... chicks!)

At that age, it's probably going to be fine. Chicks aren't aware of size in the first couple weeks.

Thanks! What do you suppose would be the cut-off? How old would you say is too old to bring in a new chick? I appreciate your help

Four weeks would be the outer limit, but that would really be pushing your luck. I'd say you're pretty safe within the first two weeks and under three.
