Adding new chicks

I am a newbie to the chick world. My chicks are coming in 2 stages. I have 6 2 week old chicks. I have 10 more arriving this week. 2 weeks different? is that too much. Help!

depends on the temperament of the first set, I have had some that combined well and were 3-4 weeks apart, and some that were only a week apart, that fought like rival gangs over "TURF"

I would be really watchfull if trying to add dayolds with couple weeks old, since the youngest will still be trying to learn food/water while the older will be ready to start a pecking order. I would sudjest letting the youngest ones have a week by themselves before trying to join with others.
