i did that , I bought chicks a week apart in 3 different groups of chicks from 3 different feed stores & 3 different breeds, i kept the 1 week old barred rock chicks in with my younger sliver laced wyandotts but kept the other group of 3 week old ones apart in a different pen & kept them all in my kitchen in play pens, that worked really well, but if it looks like the older chicks are to ruff for the younger ones I would separate them...! but let them see each other at least, I LOVED that great info on spring greens good for chickens, but about the Lambs quarters aka Fat Hen Weed , i will eat that weed first ,before the chickens could even find it, we loved that wild green & would pick & eat it as fast as it will grow, and even when it gets older & is over 2 feet tall we pick the tender tops off ,filling up paper shopping bags full as long as those greens will grow, we will eat them..!!!!
take care all![]()
