Our 2 week old chicks are doing great in the coop with the big girls and "broody" has turned into a fabulous mama! My distant neighbour has silkie chicks the same age as my Chantecler...will she notice if I add some fluffy ones in at night? Any thoughts are appreciated. :D

Chances are yes, and she will most likely reject them. it is possible that she will accept them but for most cases she will not as they are to old, don't look/ smell/ sound right

You might be able to sneak them underneath her at night, but keep a close watch on them the day afterwards to make sure she isn't pecking or hurting them. Chickens also don't have a good sense of smell, so it wouldn't be a problem. I don't there is much of a difference of smell between day old chicks and 2 week olds anyways. :p If your broody does reject the chicks, then take them out and continue to raise them by yourself. :)
