urgent—baby chick question

Killing them directly or indirectly is irrelevant if the ultimate result is death.
If loneliness causes symptoms like stress, that causes suppressed immune system, that ultimately causes a lethal infection, it is still loneliness that started it all.

I just don’t know if I believe that for poultry, I’ve had plenty of quail alone over the years before I discovered plushes and the only things they ever died from were genetic or egg related since I messed up their calcium starting out, most of these gamebird types, like chickens, quail, partridges, etc. separate during nesting times, and aren’t always in groups.

Plus, I meant it more like they can’t die of loneliness of other birds, because of course you have to be there to take care of them, so they’ll always have something or other.

I mean, people raise parrots alone to get them to imprint, and while imprinting is wrong IMO, they don’t die. I’ve heard of plenty of people raising single chicks as pets.

Yeah but (if there is people like me) I feel like it's wrong to raise one animal by its self, but also it will become antisocial

I guess, but the question was if it would be alright health wise, and the answer is yes.
