Need a bit of help...
I am adding silkies to my flock and have found somewhere to get them (i live in portugal and its pretty hard to find them especialy if you dont speak the language).
Right first i found some babies that are 25 euros each but she wont sell them until she knows the sex's (they are 1 and 1/2 hours away.
Next i have found some more silkies- 4 months olds are 15 euros and babies are 10 euros... but they are 2 and 1/2 hours away
and at the same place they have polish for 15 euros and she will not be breeding any more so now im thinking about getting 1 polish pullet and 3 silkie babies but then i was thinking it may be better to get the 4 month old ones as the babies might not do too well through the winter??!!
What do you think 1 polish (black with white crest) and 3 white silkie chicks?
or 3 4 month old white silkie pullets/hens and NO polish?
If i get the 3 silkie chicks then i may possibly buy one of the other ladies chicks when they are grown and sexed (get a roo if the chicks turn out girls) as a differant bloodline for the other 3.
