Adding to flock...questions, breeds, etc

We currently have 3 - 3 month old hens. A buff Brahma, lav pro, and a faverolle. I'll admit we have a chicken bug and love them so much. My husband and I would like to add maybe just 2 more to the group. Our run/house combination us 6x12. The house is 6x6. Would 2 more be comfortable to add? Of course it would be a good month or more before they were ready to join the group after we get them and raise them.
The Brahma is definitely the leader of the group. All are pretty docile. What different breeds would mix with these girls? We like a mixed flock and different breeds. I would love sillies but not sure their size would go well with standards.

Hi,
Most breeds are fine together.
If you introduce them slowly everyone will find their place in the order. I have a mix which free range all day. 2 x silkies, 2x Pekin 1x D'uccle x Frizzle, and a Brahma X Cochin. We also have 3x Wyandotte babies, 1x Australorp babies, and a little wild Wood Duck who got lost and my hen, adopted it.

I'm guessing adding silkies with standard size would not work?

I would not add silkies, or any bird with a funky feather-do. In your size set up, I'd not add more than 2. You might get away with 2 if you can make special arrangements to set up multi height, multi feed/water stations, and out of sight, but not dead end spaces.

I would suggest adding some EEs. They get along with most breeds and are pretty docile! Super sweet birds! And yes, you have plenty of space to add 2 more chickens!

I ordered from Meyers I only want keep 2, but ordered 4 so I would have a pair to sell together. I got a blue splash maran, black australorp, and 2 golden laced wayandottes. I think I may keep the maran and australorp!?

Hi! Although everyone might be telling you to NOT add Silkies to a flock of non Silkies; if you add two or more I've had good success with this way.
I had two Silkies in a flock of 20 other breeds, including Brahmas and Easter Eggers.

Aww, what lovely breeds! If you are going to be raising all 4 chicks you'll probably end up keeping all four. That's just chicken math, honey.
