I have 4 pullets that are roughly 8-9 weeks old. I'm needing to add them to an existing flock and I'm wondering about the feed. The pullets are on a growing feed and the existing flock are on a Layena+Omega 3 pellet. I would really like to keep them on that because they're eggs have been great but I know the pullets need more protein. Any suggestions?

I have 2 feeders, one has a 20% protien All Flock feed, the other 16% layer pellets. The hens all prefer the All Flock, I had to put out more Oyster shell. The young ones do not need the calcium in the layer feed and will not eat much of it.

They can all eat 20% protein flock raiser feed, with calcium on the side. That’s what I do. I have young pullets and laying hens. Eggshells on the side, always available. I’ve never used layer feed. My eggs are nice and strong, and everybody’s happy.
