adding to flock

I posted about this a while back I'm currently 2 week into the quarantine period of adding a breeding pair of old English game to an existing flock of 4 warrens and a light Sussex. No signs of illness so my mind is turning to the next stage. The pair are in a smaller coop which is too close to houses for "Elvis" to give us his early morning rendition, so the pressure is on to get them moved .yesterday my light Sussex escaped and carefully made its way to seeing distance of the rooster. The rooster went nuts running up and down the coop until I removed the hen. Now my plan was to move the roosters coop up to the communal area and let them feed on separate sides of the boundary. My worry is that if I do this I will stress the rooster and the hens too much. Should I just put them together and let them get on with it ?
will the rooster introduction upset the hens laying ? could this introduction halt them from being a breeding pair ?
