Chicken math, I've come down with such a bad case I might need to go to the hospital! LOL
We have around 50 chickens at this time, but I can't help but get more! I want to have experience with at least one of each breed and color, and so far I've gotten pretty far! This autumn I'm buying around 7 Orloff eggs, I have some eggs under my silkie that are hatching, I'm hopefully acquiring 4 mix-breed Sebright and OEGB mixes (a project I'm working on) and 15 bantam chicks including sebrights, OEGBs, and a few others like silkies, antwerps, and d'uccles.
Has anyone has any experience with Orloffs? I'd love to know how well they get along with other chickens.
Also, should I let my silkie sit on her eggs she has now and try incubating (the first time I would be incubating) my Orloff eggs or take the eggs she is sitting on and incubate them and give her the orloff eggs as I think she would do them better then me.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Beauty, my sebright, with her single chick Buddy
My 17 McMurray chicks
My silkie, sebright, OEG cross chicks (part of a new project)
