Someone told me for my Hova-bator, the less you raise the top, the better the hatch. He suggested that I put water in an empty ketchup bottle and pour it in from one of the vent holes. I thought that was a pretty good idea, until I remembered that the water would touch the eggs. Is it okay for the water to touch the eggs? Is this method okay for adding water?

I use a straw and a small bubble ear wax removal syringe with warm water and put between the trays so the water goes into the water trays in the bottom. also if it gets to dry (moisture) you can fine mist eggs with warm water.

I use a straw too for it and do my best to make sure it goes into the trays, lol.

So far so good, its probably the best way I have found to add water without opening the incubator.

This is how I do it too. I also like to put a wash cloth in there & then during the hatch when the humidity is suppose to be higher but you're not suppose to open the bator at all I use the straw along with the syringe to rewet the washcloth or the sponge...

I use disposable plastic pipettes. Of course I don't dispose of them, I use them forever... Check out ebay.
