Well. I found 4 more rabbits. 4 White New Zealands. I am up to 6 does now and still can not find a buck I am hoping to find at least 1 by March.

But they are all housed with my 15 chooks. They are all happy as clams today inside the run the temp said 40 and it is 12 outside of it. Clear sunny skies.

Can't wait to build the new 18 x 30 hoop house come spring. I am adding 24 more birds and some turkeys. So I am hoping to use the hoop house for housing in the winter and green house in spring and grow some type of crop in there in the summer like Corn, Melons or something.

Thanks. I read pastured poultry and kind of followed their plan of having the rabbits above the chooks. That way when the rabbits poop the chooks run and rip it apart looking for undigested food. Then and turn all of the hay keeping it dry and ready to compost use in the spring.

But as for the straw bales it works great for wind proofing as only 2/3rds is what they have now in the run area. There is another 3 x 10 feet behind that hay that has no roof So I stacked the bales to block the wind/snow that comes from the north for this year and keep the interior dry and with the plastic and sunny days, it keeps it quite comfy in there.
