Hi Been visiting the site for a while had join it a while back to. As you could see my profile pick is one of my own oils paintings.
Guess I need to start at the beginning. Well got my first chickens one night on the stoep when i was 3 or 4 years old ,present from one of dads friends ever since i had chickens ,Canneries other birds ,discoveries, geese, ducks, turkeys ext... then I finished school and did Wat most men did then national service and went on to Bible school and work and then well ended up in Asia as missionary for 17 years and is now back two years.
I live in a small farming community and is teaching and soon I was given a mix bag of chicks of all sorts .
That now have resulted in about a 20 by 4 meter run with a verity of birds and then an extension to house my growing Guinea Fowl family...
I recently added 5 Brahma chickens to my clan they are just 7 months old but already standing taller than my Sussex .
I will love to get some more breeds if only I know where to find some I am looking for.
My Chickens is not to show or to make money of they just my children and my friends and my love and yes helps to relieve stress also ,I sit often in the run and talk to them and yeah ,many have names ,guess some were named after the people that gave them to me..
I love bear-neck Chickens,bantams of all kinds, silkies,polish bantams,waynedotts, Brahmas, Jersey Giants ,Sussex and Easter eager's Arcana's..
Well that's a bit about me.
