adopted a rejected chick--looking for help

My brother and his wife have bantam roosters and they love them as well. The man who took our Easter Egger rooster LOVES him. I'm so glad he has a good home. Our neighbor started complaining the first week of crowing. I really like hearing the crowing, but could not enjoy it since I had to worry about getting a code enforcement violation. I also realize that I do not have enough experience raising chickens to speak much about roosters. All I know is that all the pecking and fighting went away with the roosters. Although hens peck each other, our hens got along after the rooster was gone - maybe they were fighting over him. ha!

Unfortunately were I live, roosters aren't allowed because they disturb people. My neighbors have two yappy dogs...they have their own doggy door, so they're free to go outside at all hours and bark at all the threatening leaves...but no roosters. So...yeah.

I live in Pinellas...Tampa Bay area.Good advice. I'm trying to find a couple of chicks now and am not having much luck with craigslist, message boards, etc. I'll keep trying. If mine turns out to be a male, I'll find him a good home and be crushed about it, but...I'l make sure it's somewhere she'll {I'm just going to call her that in hopes} be happy.
My brother built his brood and my boyfriend builds too, so I figured that would be the route when it's time. But I'll put extra cash aside for it.

Thank you. If there are more suggestions, as always, I'm all ears.
