Adopted Ducklings??

My friend has a duck hen that has been trying and trying to hatch eggs with no success. I have had chicken hens in this predicament who refused to stop being broody. My solution was to buy chicks at a farm store and at night, after hens are settled, I switch the eggs under them out with the chicks. It has worked every time and the hens have always been phenomenal mothers.

Would this also work with a duck hen and "adopted" ducklings?

I've done it with broody hens too, but never with any of my Muscovy they are my only broodies here my Runners and Buff haven't got the time.
