Hello!
We are and adopting chickens and taking the chicken coop/run from friends who are moving. Moving the chicken coop to our house is going to take a couple of days and I am concerned about the transition. While I had chickens when I was a child, it has been a while so I have been doing a lot of reading especially on your web site. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on keeping the four hens comfortable and calm during this move. I have two large dog kennels I thought I would use. Is there anything I should know in this process?
Thanks so much for your help!
Heather

and Welcome To BYC! How big and what kind are the dog crates? If they are a decent size you could keep them in there for the few days, just provide food and water and perches if wire ones, and a nesting place (cardboard box?) if they are laying.
