ADOR1 Automatic Coop Door?

Thanks. That's funny! Now I was wondering about the light sensor. I hope I can detach it and relocate it to a natural sunlight spot as my coop is underneath the deck... Anyone know?

I don't think you can detach it, but they do have an external sensor for those that attach the Ador1 facing inside the coop. I don't know how long the sensor wire is. Best to call Rod and speak with him about your situation. (832)444-0192

My coop has an enclosed front porch so my door is set back under a roof about 8 ft back. I was worried about my situation but the sensor works great. I don't think you will have a problem.

Wait...so Arkansaschicks, did you use the extra sensor & placed it outside or using it just the way it comes??? I am also a bit unsure about where to put the door (still sitting in the box) because where I want to put it is on the opposite side as sunrise (west, I guess?). The whole wall stays shaded most of the day.

Just put the thing on your coop like it is. If it opens too late you can adjust the door to open early. If that fails you can try the remote sensor.

I did not buy an extra sensor. I am using it just the way it came. I agree just play with it in different locations. Put the battery in and get it operating in the location you are thinking about before you cut the hole.
