Hi itsallnew. How is your hen today? Any change? I'm not familiar with fowl pox (touch wood) so no idea if it is related. How old is your chicken? Is she able to drink and eat on her own? I know there's a couple of videos on YouTube showing how to assist a chicken with wry neck. My instinct would be to separate her into a quiet and preferably dark area. Excitement seems to make wry neck symptoms worse. I have one that hatched with severe wry neck and he does relapse from time to time. I keep him on a treatment of polyvisol children's liquid vitamins (without iron), a squirt of vitamin E capsule, a 1/2 tab of crushed vitamin B complex and a tiny bit of selenium (both those later 3 are human vitamin supplements). Mine gets it once a week as a maintenance treatment. With the onset of wry neck they should get that daily. I have seen others treat with vitamins for chickens found at the feed store but I was unable to cure with that.
If she is having difficulty drinking or eating moistened food is best as well as fruit/veg with high water content (cucumber, melon...) as well as scrambled eggs or meat for protein. Is she still laying? I hope any of this helps
