Last Wednesday, my husband noticed our 16 month old Australorp hen limping on her right leg. On Thursday morning, I found her, away from the rest of the girls in a corner with her head down. It's been pretty hot here and I thought it might be heat exhaustion (we've been running a mister, a fan, using shade cloth over their area, allowing them to free range, putting out ice bottles, wallows, etc). I brought her in the house and started researching here for something that sounded similar to her condition. I found a thread about a rooster that exhibited exactly the same symptoms as Olivia. The poster put her rooster on an intensive Vitamin B routine and within five or so days, he was back to normal. We did the same for Olivia and she is bouncing back, with the exception of the right leg which she walks on but picks up very high before she steps down on it (looks a bit like a pegleg pirate). Has anyone had a smilar experience? Any ideas on what to do? Thanks so much, Karen
