So we lost one of our keets the other day to a predator, they are about 2 months old, we got at one month. They have been in pen the whole time. Today we were at a swap and the kids talked me into an adult pair. All together doing fine. How long should I keep them penned up before free ranging them?

Yes, because they will run off! I would Keep them locked up for about a month. Congratulations!

At least a month, longer if you can. Just make sure that the place you keep them confined to is where you want them to roost. Don't keep them in a cage in your barn if you want them to roost in the chicken house, for example.
