Adventure into building an incubator and hatching!

if you see clear on the pointy end that is not an air sack (mostlikely) the pointy end is where the unabsorbed yolk is. and it would show clear until day 16 or so. if the pointy end is still clear on day 18 the egg might not be a hatcher.

I had 2 more hatch from this last batch, 5 so far- more in hatcher, hatching till this monday.. 2 didn't make it. when I opened the egg there was too much moisture, (even though I dry hatched the whole time.) so for the rest of my hatch- will be more air holes open in incubator- 102 still air temp, TEMP TEMP TEMP I probably had it at 100- still air should be 102 plus these were jumbo eggs lots of liquid to dry. my bantam eggs hatched just fine- but they don't take as long.

Okay so I will keep a close eye on that area and see how it progresses and hopefully vanishes. What about not having an air sac then? I figured by day 9-10 it would be more than visible since most things I've read say to track it starting at day 7. Only one of mine has one and its any iffy air sac. Should I be worried?

Day 14 and all is going well. Got a more powerful flashlight and viola! Easy to see air sacs that are growing by the day now. Finally threw out the infertile egg last night but all 5 of the others are seeming to do well. Squirming around in their shells despite several risky temp spikes. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
