We had a surgical consult for our 1 year old hen Maxine today. The vet says her hernia is not repairable. He said to take her home and let her live her life as long as she is comfortable. We let her socialize with the rest of the flock, but she is to eat mash and as much of a soft diet as possible. I have ordered a diaper for her so she can wander around the house.
My question is what else can I do to make her indoor life more comfortable?
