Advice for making a close bond with your flock

What? What's that supposed to mean? Just asking.

Oh, it means the information contained in the OP is "life altering" in the depth of the insights it contains.

Yes, I am lucky to have a bond with my chicken

here she is relaxing in the sun on my lap.
I give her love and attention and she gives me eggs, we were fast friends from day one.

Awww how heart warming to see this photo! Hahaha Hope I can get one of my babies to do this :)

I agree with chickens being life altering. It took a while to get into their heads but they now completely trust me. I love the photo of the sunbathing chicken on the lap! That's what one of my chicks did the other day but I didn't have a camera. They compete to sit on me now. I love having chickens...

Mealworms sure are expensive for a bag, looks like you care for your chickens alot. I can tell you will have a VERY life alerting relationship. My chickens compete to run to me and hop up onto my lap and eat out of my hand, too.

My flock of birds absolutely LOVE me....or, um, the mealworms I bring them every day.

They RUNNNNNNNNN to me as fast as they can go every time they see me. They follow me everywhere and each night I sit on the lawn under the tree and climb in my lap to eat worms. I don't ever leave them unattended out of their run because of hawks, so they have gotten very used to hanging out by me. I raised them from babies and have been taming them since Day 1. (Ok, Day 2. They were shipped to me on Day 1. haha)

I can lay under the tree with a magazine or my iPhone and they will mostly hang out around me. They'll climb up on my back and sit there, or they go running off for a bit, and then come running back. I can call all of them from anywhere they might be and they come running every time.

Just lots of consistency, every night out there with mealworms. Yes they're expensive at $17.99 for a 17.6 ounce bag, and I go through a bag every 3 days, but it's worth it I guess. I have tried looking for cheaper supplies online but haven't really had any luck.

Cool avatar davi!

The meal worms are expensive but a chicken friend of mine split a bulk 5 lb bag of them with me which cut the cost way down.
