Advice needed - adding older hens to the flock

A sneeze here or there can simply be from dust. If she begins to sniffle or cough, then obviously it is illness.
At her age, the stress of moving would reduce her immune system leaving her more vulnerable to new germs that your flock have built resistance to.

However a sneeze or two can be harmless. Just watch her. If she begins coughing or wheezing in earnest, then suspect new illness or possibly latent chronic respiratory disease which can kick in with stress.

Keep us updated.

Transition is going well, everyone is keeping to themselves on either side of the run. Only two small tiffs between the alpha hen of the old girls and the younger girls. The boys have been very good to the old girls so far.

RE: the wheezing hen — she has lost her voice, but otherwise healthy. Still wheezing, which I guess is just part of who she is. No other symptoms, no other hen with symptoms. She seems to be all good! Thank you for everything!
